Membership is available for all actively involved in professional sales, marketing or purchasing work. A specific professional title or educational status is not required.

Transferring to SMKJ from another union or unemployment fund
If you were a member of another unemployment fund for employees before you joined SMKJ, the employment requirement earned during the previous membership (34 working weeks during the last 28 months) is transferred to SMKJ along with your membership if the period of time between these two memberships is less than 1 month. Membership fees in the previous unemployment fund must be fully paid.
If your salary is fully or partly provision-based, your taxable income for a full-time job must be at least € 1071 per month and the number of weekly working hours must be at least 18 in order to add to your employment requirement. Employment requirement can be built periodically, even one week at a time, just as long as the full 34 weeks is completed within 28 months.
If you transfer from an entrepreneur fund, you can only transfer up to 10 weeks of employment requirement along with your membership.
After joining SMKJ, wait for a written notice confirming your membership before resigning your current union or unemployment fund.
