Promoting Your Interests

The Union of Sales and Marketing Professionals (SMKJ) is a trade union and service organization. Our job is to promote our members’ interests in the labour market. SMKJ is divided into 23 regional membership associations. Our central organization is Akava (the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland).

What is SMKJ? SMKJ, the Union of Sales and Marketing Professionals promotes the interests of all professionals working in sales, marketing or purchasing.			Akava Akava is the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland. SMKJ is its affiliate.
Board and Council The SMKJ council and board are the highest decision-makers in SMKJ. The members and chairmen for these two bodies are elected every four years.			Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) is the collective bargaining organization for Akava’s private sector.
Regional Membership Associations SMKJ is divided into 23 regional membership associations. As an SMKJ member you’re automatically a member of your own regional membership association.
